When is the Department Classification automatically assigned to a faculty record?

As of July 12, 2021, this "Learn Veracross" site has been deprecated.  It will remain live at least through December 23, 2021, but will no longer be updated. When the nightly process is determining the classifications for a given user, it checks the following things in order:

  1. The person roles tied to the department
  2. The department associated with the subject of any classes they teach.
  3. If they have a hired date before today, if they've been terminated, or if there is an active classification already in place to prevent duplication.

If any of those fail then the record is not given a department.If any updates are made to the above, the overnight scripts need to run to update the record to populate the department(s).
