The Financial Aid import type determines the school year for the financial aid application based on the financial aid applicant’s year applying for value. The same is true regardless of whether the financial aid applicant is a new applicant to the school or a current student.

In the case of current student, the ‘year applying for’ value is also called ‘enrollment year’ and can be seen on the ‘Enr Checklist’ tab of the student record.
