Overview
In most situations, children do not have Name Prefixes associated with them, however, you have the option of turning these on using the Use Child Name Prefixes parameter. Navigate to this parameter using the System Parameters query on the System homepage.
Parameter Options
There are four different options for child prefix types that are set as either 0, 1, 2, or 3 as a public value or a user value. Each of these numbers means the following things:
- 0: updates name prefixes to None for students, prospects, and applicants with a graduation year in the future.
- 1: updates name prefixes to Master/Miss for all children (people with a role of student, former student, alum, applicant, prospect, former applicant, cold prospect, and future student if their graduation year is set as a future year)
- 2: updates name prefixes to Mr/Mrs for all children (people with a role of student, former student, alum, applicant, prospect, former applicant, cold prospect, and future student if their graduation year is set as a future year)
- 3: name prefixes are not updated
After the parameter changes, these name prefixes are updated the next time the nightly scripts run.
