Overview

As an additional security measure, Veracross has implemented the use of reCAPTCHA on login pages for both Axiom and all Portals.

When one of the following occurs, reCAPTCHA will be switched on (and a corresponding small icon will display indicating it is on):

  • the same user attempts to log in three times unsuccessfully
  • multiple failed login attempts from the same IP address
  • a user is accessing the “forgot password” page

reCAPTCHA works behind the scenes, so even when it is switched on, most users will not perceive that they are interacting with the technology. If reCAPTCHA suspects that a login being attempted by a robot, the user will be presented with a reCAPTCHA image grid. Read more about the technology here.
