How do I send a thank you email for one donation to a donor with multiple donations on their record?

To send a thank you email for one donation to a donor with multiple donations on their record, begin from a Find Donations query, then perform the following steps:

  1. In the query results, select the donation record(s) for which the email will be created.
  2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+C (Mac: CMD+SHIFT+C) to open the Copy Results Data window. From there, select Donation ID and click Copy Data to Clipboard.
  3. Access the query Design view, select the Donation ID, and paste the copied data into the criteria field in the third column.
  4. Run the query again and the results should filter to only those donations selected.

When testing the composer email, create a blank email and click Select Recipients instead of Next to bypass the subject line, etc. screen to verify your email will only be sent to the intended recipients.
