We at Veracross understand that there are times when schools need to maintain individual person records but these records should not be linked to any other records (e.g. ex-husband/wife gets linked to individuals related to their former spouse) or the relationship should be linked but the person can have no contact or be privy to information about the related individual (e.g. parents and children).
To keep the system from updating person records to create relationships between individuals, we recommend that you set the Relationship Type on the record that should not be linked to other individuals to “Other” and enter a comment in the Notes field for the relationship record to identify the circumstance.
Once this update is made, delete any relationship records that should not exist.
