Overview
With the Media content option in the Veracross Publisher, you can embed videos, maps, documents, and more. This means that instead of linking to videos, presentations or maps, you can include them to be viewed directly in your Message or Page. The basic process to embed any type of media is to first find and copy the embed code from the original location (YouTube, Google Drive, etc.) and then paste it into an “Embed Link” content type.
YouTube
Find the video you would like to include on your Page at www.youtube.com. Below the video you will see a “Share” option. Click this link to expand all sharing options and click the “Embed” option. A field containing an iframe code will appear. Copy this code and paste it into your content area.
Google Maps
Find the map you would like to include on your Page at maps.google.com. At the top right hand corner of your map, you will see a button called “Link.” Click this button to find the “Paste HTML to embed in website” code. Copy this code and paste it into the media box on your Message or Page.
Scribd
Find the document you would like to include on your page at www.scribd.com. At the top of your document, you will see a button called “< / > Share & Embed.” Click this button to find the “embed this document” code. Copy this code and paste it into the media box on your Message or Page.
Google Drive (Docs, Presentations, etc.)
Find the presentation you have created using Google Docs at docs.google.com. At the top right hand corner of your presentation document, you will see a button called “Share.” Click this button and choose the “Publish / embed” option. If you have not published the document, click “Publish Document” which will bring you to a page that has the embed code under a section saying “Copy the code below and paste it into the HTML of any website or blog.” Copy this code and paste it into the media box on your Message or Page.
TED Videos
Find the video you would like to include on your page at www.ted.com. At the bottom of the video, you will see box with red text in it that says, “Embed this video.” Copy this code and paste it into the media box on your Message or Page.
