Overview
Manage photos of class activities, field trips, and more using Galleries on the Photos tab of the class in the Teacher Portal or from the group portal administrative page.
Managing Galleries
Adding Galleries
To create a new photo gallery, click “Add a Gallery” on the Photos tab of the class or group portal. Enter a Title for the gallery and click “Add a Gallery.” The new Gallery will be immediately available for editing on the Photos tab.
Deleting Galleries
To delete a photo gallery, click trash can icon on the right side of the gallery you wish to delete. Click “Yes, delete” to delete the gallery. This will delete all photos within the Gallery as well as the Gallery itself. Note: This action cannot be undone, so think carefully before deleting a gallery.
Renaming Galleries
To rename a photo gallery, click the pencil icon edit button and enter a new title. Click “Save” to save the changes to the gallery name.
Managing Photos in Galleries
Adding Photos
To add new photos to a gallery, click on the photo+ icon next to the gallery from the Photos tab of the class or group portal. This opens the file upload tool in a new window. Browse and find the photo(s) to upload and enter a description, if desired. Click “done” when the photo(s) has finished uploading. Photos may also be uploaded directly from the gallery. Click on the gallery to open it in the portal. Click the green “Add Photos” button to browse and find the photo(s). More than one photo can be uploaded at one time.
Editing Photos
To add a caption to the photo, click the pencil icon to open the photo caption window. Enter the caption in the textbox and save the changes when finished.
Deleting Photos
To delete photos from a gallery, click on the gallery from the Photos tab of the class or group portal. Select the photo(s) to delete from the gallery by selecting the trash can icon next to the photo. Click the “Yes, delete” button to remove the photo from the gallery. Note: This action cannot be undone, so think carefully before deleting a gallery.
Photos on the Class Website
All photo galleries added to the Photos tab in a teacher’s class section in their portal will be displayed automatically to parents and students on the class website. Teachers can use the photo gallery as a means of keeping their student’s parents visually informed of what is happening in the classroom.
