What is a GL Function Code?

A function code is a "tag" that can be used to group a set of GL Accounts together when using the "Function Fields" in a query design. Function codes can be set in a "Function Field", similar to an Account Type, so that the desired groupings are separated out on the column level rather than the line level.  Function codes can assigned a Function Category if desired. Function codes be added on a GL Master Record or through the Chart of Accounts query.
