The Blackboard Connect export for Student information is detailed below. The student file will contain one row for each student record in Veracross. Much of the data that is included in the student export comes from the student record in Veracross. This allows schools to target *just* the student if the school chooses. If schools would like to notify or contact Parents, schools should use the “contacttype” of “Other” (Link to Parent Export details).
The exact filename is “students.csv”
The bold fields are the names of the fields included in the export. The description will describe where the value of the data comes from in the database:
| Field Name | Description |
| Institution: | This will be the school name and is hardcoded for the export (eg. “Veracross Academy”). Each school will need to communicate to Blackboard Connect what the Institution value will be. |
| Contacttype: | The value of “Student” will be hardcoded for the student export. Each person in Veracross with a role of “Student” will be included in this list. |
| ReferenceCode | This value comes from the “Person ID” field of the *STUDENT* in Veracross |
| FirstName: | This value comes from the “First Name” field of the *STUDENT* in Veracross |
| LastName: | This value comes from the “Last Name” field of the *STUDENT* in Veracross |
| Gender: | This value comes from the “Gender” field of the *STUDENT* in Veracross |
| HomePhone: | This value comes from the “Home Phone” field of the *HOUSEHOLD* that the student is associated with in Veracross |
| HomePhoneAlt: | This value comes from the “Home Phone” field of the *HOUSEHOLD* for the non-resident parent that a student is related to in Veracross |
| Mobilephone: | This value comes from the “Mobile Phone” field of the *STUDENT* in Veracross |
| SMSPhone: | This value comes from the “Mobile Phone” field of the *STUDENT* in Veracross |
| EmailAddress: | This value comes from the “Email 1” field of the *STUDENT* in Veracross |
