Admissions Review Function Fields

Overview

Admission Review function fields show aggregate information about application reviews. There are six different ones:

  • Adm Reviewer
  • Adm Recommendation Count
  • Adm Review Notes
  • Adm Review Criteria Score
  • Adm Review Criteria Score List
  • Add Review Total Score

Adm Reviewer

This function field displays the reviewer for a given reviewer type, and so is helpful to display the reviewer name for a given review. If more than one reviewer is assigned to a review in a given type, the system arbitrarily picks one to display.

Parameters

Year Applying For

  • Select the desired year (defaults to active admissions year).
Reviewer Type
(required)
  • Select the desired reviewer type. Reviewer types can be configured and added from the Application Review homepage.

Adm Recommendation Count

This function field displays the number of recommendations for a given recommendation type (not recommendation category).

Tip:To show all “Accept” recommendations, for example, select both “Strong Accept” and “Accept” recommendations. This strategy can be especially helpful if you have multiple custom recommendations within a given recommendation category.

Parameters

Recommendation
  • Select the desired recommendation(s). Recommendations can be configured and added from the Application Review homepage.
Reviewer Type
  • Select the desired reviewer type. Reviewer types can be configured and added from the Application Review homepage.

Adm Review Notes

This function field displays the notes or concerns on the review record (not individual criteria) for application reviews. If more than one reviewer exists in a given reviewer type, the system will arbitrarily select ones’ notes to display.

  • Select Notes (default) or Concerns.

Adm Review Criteria Score

This function field aggregates scores for a given set of review criteria.

  • Select the desired year (defaults to active admissions year).
Reviewer Type
  • Select the desired reviewer type. Reviewer types can be configured and added from the Application Review homepage.
Review Criteria
(required)
  • Select the review criteria. The criteria category is displayed along with each criterion, as applicable.
Aggregation Type
(required)
  • Select the way to aggregate the data: sum (default), average, maximum, or minimum.
Weighted
(required)
  • Choose to apply weighting, which is set on the particular review criterion.

Adm Review Criteria Score List

This function field displays criteria scores across reviews.

Parameters

  • Select the desired year (defaults to active admissions year).
Reviewer Types
  • Select the desired reviewer types. Reviewer types can be configured and added from the Application Review homepage.
Review Criteria
  • Select the review criteria. The criteria category is displayed along with each criterion, as applicable.
Values Only
(required)
  • Choose to display only the score(s) or also the name of the criteria with them.
Multiline
(required)
  • Display each score on its own line or in a single comma-separated list.

Adm Review Total Score

This function field displays aggregate review score (sum, max, or min) for an admissions candidate, using the manually-entered score on reviews if present, otherwise the calculated sum of individual categories.
