Overview
The Veracross Data Importer allows schools to add admission leads. This type of import creates new person records. If you do not have this import type turned on in your Data Importer, contact your Account Manager.
Importing the data involves two steps:
- Preparing the data for upload.
- Uploading the data using the Veracross Data Importer
Preparing the Data for Upload
Prepare a comma separated value (CSV) file containing contact data for any/all of the fields listed below. This CSV file must contain all of the required columns in the order listed below, even if no content is populated in the columns.

grade_applying_for* | Required integer. (If there is not currently a ‘grade applying for’ value for an admissions lead, enter 0 in this column.) |
year_applying_for* | Required. Only single integer year values accepted. ex. 2015 (for the 15-16 SY), 2016 (for the 16-17 SY), etc. |
resident_status_applying_for | School-defined, and must already exist in the database. |
financial_aid_applying_for | Yes/no field. Accepted values: yes, true, 1; no, false, 0. |
